What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias' death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.
Full of nonstop action, suspense, and romance, this novel is sure to move readers as much as it thrills.

I liked/disliked
this book. I liked it because it was addicting (you just wanted to know what
will happen next all the time), you feel sorrow for characters (duh it’s a dystopian,
it's so depressing how the world is turned upside down in this book) and June.
So in this book,
there is Day and June, right. Did I like Day? Not too much. Well, not as much
as June. She was like superwoman but only 15 years old. Oh yea! Now that we are
at it. The age. Holly, molly. This age thing. So I was reading and reading and
reading this book and then I found out that Day and June are 15. How could they
be 15? They are super…super everything. I don’t know but I thought 15 was too
young, compared to how I imagined them. Their voices sounded more like 17-ish.
Back to June. She
is strong, independent and a broken flower.
I am really looking
forward to the next book.

I still need to read this one, it sounds so good! From the summary on the cover flap I agree, 15 does sound young! They must be some kick butt kids!
It seems like everyone has read this book except me. Really good to see that you liked it :)
I read this book a long time ago, but I don't think I even picked up on the fact that they're 15! I guess to me, the ages don't really matter too much unless something's going on that really makes me take notice.
I was a big fan of June too - but mostly her brother! *cries*
