Book Review: Crescendo

"Did the love of her life killed her father?"

Heyhihello

Today I shall be reviewing a book titled Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick. It is the book #2 of the hush, hush series.

Here is the description of the book:

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away, and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch, or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

My review :

I just love everything about this book!!!!!

Falling in love with the first book made me hunt for crescendo before its release date. I just knew I would find it and my heart led me to Wal-mart to find it on the shelves.

I will not try to spoil it for those who haven’t read Hush, Hush yet.

So basically the book takes us to a new journey, trying to answer the following question," who killed Nora's father? Is it Patch?"

The book is still dark, scary and thrilling. The relationship between Patch and Nora is growing, even though they broke up in the first few chapters. But they cant be far away from each other. Becca Fitzpatrick is so good in making us shiver whenever Patch touches Nora. Actually I shiver whenever Patch talks. Am I the only one?

The addictiveness aspect of this book is still alive from book #1. You just feel heat coming from this book, even though it is just simple, innocent words looking right at you.

How the book ended will probably make everyone thirsty for the next book (The tempest). It leaves with a cliffhanger. Many people liked it and many others did not. Personally, I think it was a good way to end Crescendo, to make people more eager for book #3. (As if we are not eager already.)
