Book Review: The DUFF

Heyhihello

Today I shall be reviewing a book titled The Duff by Kody Keplinger. It is her debut book and she is only 19.

Here is the description of the book:

Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face.
But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him.
Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

My Review:

There was heat coming out of this book.

The characters were so real to the point where I felt that I could relate to them so easily. I loved the main character, Bianca because she was so like me. We have so much in common. The way I distract myself is by sleeping. Instead she has her own methods of distracting herself. I bet all teenagers or those who once were teenagers will relate to her. She is stubborn, independent and a duff.

So DUFF means Designated Ugly Fat Friend. There is a point in every girl's life where they thought that they were a DUFF. I did once. But I was never fat so I always thought I was a DUF.

I loved Bianca's friends. I wanted to be their friend. So unfair. They are very supportive and protective of their friend, even though they are different from each other.

Now!!! Lets talk about someone very special WESLEY RUSH. The school hottie. Duff's Patch from Crescendo. Wesley is awesome and he is HUMAN!! Usually guys in most novels I read are either vampires, werewolves or fallen angels. But he was human that means he might exist. Ok so basically Wesley appearance in the novel brought shivers and electricity throughout my body.

I liked the opposite attraction between Bianca and Wesley. It was so good. Well-made.

Also the book discusses so many other issues

The writing was so good. I was trying to find mistakes, any problems but there were none.

The cover had a combination of two of my favourite colours. Pink and Yellow. Love it!!!

Ok I could go on and on about this book but I think that would be pointless since you already got the point.

YOU ARE ASKING ME WHAT IS MY POINT AFTER ALL THIS WRITING?

My point is to go buy it.
NOW!!!!
