I had mixed feeling when it came to this book. There were parts that were awesome and other parts were just lacking something.
The book dealt with so many issues that many teenagers face. From bullying to family issues. I don’t think Susane left any topic without discussing it or at least hinted to it.
I liked the message behind this book. Its telling everyone who cant afford the best cloth, who cant eat healthy and ends up eating Mcdonalds that they are not the only ones. That there is always hope. Also this book encourages teenagers to talk to a trusted person about their problems because they might help.
However, what I didn’t like about the book is that the dialogues didn’t sound realistic. I just don’t think
teenagers speak like that. I know its been 3 years since I left high school but I don’t think the way I hear teenagers talk had changed and this book didn’t deliver this aspect. Yup, that’s all.
