Go with WIND !

Note: This post will find the interest of only Canadians, but if you are not a Canadian read it for fun.

If you follow me on facebook, you will notice that I posted a question asking, "What is your cell phone service provider? Are they meeting your expectations?"

I asked this question for reason and that is because I know most Canadians are not satisfied with their phone service provider at all. Personally, I just came back from a fight with koodo. They cut the service just because they didn’t have my address correct (even though I called and gave them the correct address 2 days ago). And I bet each one of you have their own story with your cell phone service provider companies. Not to mention the fact that they rob us for no reason.

We want to talk unlimited with the lowest amount of money because we have other expenses and cell phones are not a luxury anymore, they are a necessity.

So today I am introducing you a new company. It started in Toronto and Edmonton. It hasn't come to Ottawa yet so I don’t know if it's good or a bad service. But let me tell you that I know the service provider company from back home. It is called "Wind" but the real company's name globally is Orascom. Orascom is the first multinational Egyptian Corporation. Knowing this company from back home, I can tell you that it's great. It has more than 22 million customers. It has the lowest cost per minute in Egypt which is 8 cents per minute. So if it's cheap in Egypt, imagine in Canada.

I just know that WIND will provide its service soon in Ottawa since I saw its ad on one of Ottawa's newspaper.

If you want to know more about this company, you can:

iPad

The Apple Computer Company finally announced its latest product which goes with the name "iPad Tablet Computer". The iPad is a mixture of iPod touch, iPhone touch and Mac notebook.
Nowadays there are many devices that we use daily. iPad combines them all together in a one device. It's what people wanted for so long. Even though it has no phone in it, but it has many other features such as iPod, notebook and the new Amazon kindle.
From my perspective, iPad will be useless for many people; especially people who already own an iPod touch or an Amazon kindle. People already have these devices so it doesn’t mean that if there is a new device that combines them all, it will become a hit sell.
Since the iPad has an iBook app which allows readers to browse books online, it might have its negative effect on bookstores. People rather buy books online, then to walk to a bookstore and buy an actual book. That will lead to many bookstores running out of business. However, the iBook app is not a new feature on the iPad. It was already in the iPod touch and the iPhone touch. So the iBook app won't encourage loyal readers to buy iPad.
I just find that there is nothing new the iPad, comparing it to the many Apple products that always had great features.
Most of the iPad buzz comes from its title. The title shares the same name as feminine hygiene products. Many females find it embarrassing to talk about in public just because they are afraid that people might think that they are referring to feminine hygiene products and not the apple product.
Maybe feminist will encourage females not to buy the iPad to show Apple Company how much they are offended by the title. The title doesn’t even represent the device. I think they should have given it another title but I think it's too late.

Google new Phone

Heard about the new Google phone?

The new Google phone is behind all the breaking news related to the newest technology. When you think of Google, you might say “oh yea, the search site”, but now it produced the newest phone in the world. Maybe people should start calling Google another name. Maybe something like “the company that  took the title from apple.” Basically Google phone is competing with the apple phone. On the other hand, people say that Google phone is not a big threat to the I-phone.  But people always look from the newest no matter what. People will start selling their “old” I-phone to buy the Google phone to, maybe, show off in front of others.

Here are some of Google phone‘s feature:

3.7 inch touchscreen
1GHz snapdragon processor
5 Megapixel camera with LED flash GPS and compass
Accelerometer
Noise cancellation technology
Voice recognition can be used with all applications
Light sensor changes screen brightness to conserve power
512MB Flash memory with SD card slot (expandable to 32GB)

One of the features that you might have stopped at it, wondering what it is, is the “Voice recognition” which  can be used with all applications”. I always dreamt about this cell phone that can recognize my voice and do anything on the phone by simply saying it. Literally.  And that’s the “Voice recognition”  is all about. You commend your phone and it obeys

So will you be buying the new phone when it hits the store. Will you forget about the I-phone touch? Will google success to take over the title?

Leave a comment below to tell me what you think.

Personally, I still go with apples.
